Cyclorama
In 2015, CD Moody Construction undertook a landmark project that seamlessly merged historical preservation with state-of-the-art construction expertise. Our team executed the complex relocation and installation of Atlanta's treasured Cyclorama collection to its new 23,000-square-foot facility at the Atlanta History Center.
This multifaceted project showcased our firm's unique capabilities in handling irreplaceable historical artifacts, including the monumental Battle of Atlanta painting and the historic Texas locomotive. The relocation from Grant Park to the Lloyd and Mary Ann Whitaker Cyclorama building demanded precision engineering and meticulous attention to detail—skills that define our approach to every project.
Today, the new Cyclorama building stands as a testament to our ability to deliver sophisticated cultural infrastructure. Housing both the relocated historical pieces and an extensive collection of Southern regional artwork, this facility represents the intersection of preservation expertise and modern construction innovation.
